Ministries in 2000.
Duke and Durham partners work together to make partner neighborhoods safer places to live and to help residents feel secure in their homes. In 2000, Duke made a grant to Self-Help to purchase a Walltown grocery that had been a magnet for drug activity and prostitution. The Walltown Neighborhood Ministries turned it into their headquarters.
