Non-profit organizations interested in applying for a Community Care Fund grant should save the date for a webinar that will help them to complete the most competitive grant possible.
The Office of Durham and Regional Affairs coordinates the annual Doing Good in the Neighborhood employee giving campaign for Duke University and Duke University Health System employees. One campaign category is the Community Care Fund, which supports the creation of competitive grants for local non-profits. Since the fund was created in 2009, dozens of organizations have received grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 for innovative and essential projects. In 2014, the Community Care Fund provided $145,022 in grants to 34 of the 55 organizations that applied.
