Internship Details

Application Deadline: Monday, March 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

This application encompasses several pathways:

  1. You are a Duke undergraduate student.
  2. You are a Duke master's student.
  3. You are a Duke doctoral student interested in conducting a community-engaged project during Summer 2026.
  4. You are a non-profit partner, government agency, or Duke office seeking high-level project or data management support.

Important Note: Students should be prepared to upload a curriculum vitae (CV) and project description (as applicable), and organizations/offices should be prepared to provide a mission, project, and/or job description with the application.

Internships/fellowships will have the following elements:

  • Students will partner and collaborate on a project with a community non-profit.
  • Must take place between mid-May and mid-August.
  • No more than 19.9 hours/week if enrolled in summer classes. Max 39.9 hours/week otherwise.
  • Can be for 6, 8, or 12 weeks, with a stipend in accordance with Duke guidelines.
  • Must live in NC (or approved Duke employment jurisdiction).
  • May work remote, hybrid, or in-person, based on project needs.
  • Cannot graduate before or during Summer 2026.
