Crystal works with early education organization, Jumpstart, to engage Duke student Corps members in implementing Jumpstart’s outcome-based program.  Jumpstart provides language, literacy, and social-emotional programming for preschool children, working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed.

Before joining Duke, Crystal worked in Student Affairs at St. John’s College and Warren Wilson College.  She has also held roles in youth volunteer engagement with non profit, Activate Good, and most recently led the North Carolina Field Marketing Team for KIND Healthy Snacks.

Crystal earned a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and a Masters in Education from The George Washington University.  She also received a Masters in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College.
