Duke-DPS-National Archives Foundation Summer Civics Institute

Duke University, Durham Public Schools, and The National Archives Foundation (NAF) are partnering to bring the foundation's annual civics workshop for grades 4-12 educators to North Carolina's Triangle this Summer on June 22-24. Applications are now open for the Duke-NAF Summer Institute, a three-day intensive workshop designed to help elementary and secondary educators bring primary source-based activities to their students to increase civic awareness and engagement. Durham Public School teachers and media specialists will receive a stipend of $25/hour and Continuing Education (CE) credit. This program is 20 hours, running from June 22 - June 24 on Duke University's campus. NEW Deadline: Apply by Friday, May 22 Applicants will be notified of their application status by June 5, 2026.
