Making meaningful impacts through partnership
When we work together, we make a difference. We love to see how our community partners are changing the lives and improving quality of life for those in our community.
Rooted in Respect: Community Leader and Duke Retiree Model Purposeful Collaboration
The West End Community Foundation partnered with Duke’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to share the story of the Community Family Life and Recreation Center at Lyon Park – part of a historically Black Durham neighborhood.
DPSF School Reopening Grants
Duke supports public education by partnering with Durham Public Schools Foundation. A contribution to the Foundation’s School Reopening Grants program yielded wonderful results in our community for teachers, parents and students. Since March, 2021, $300,000 has gone to 39 schools for urgent needs related to returning to the classroom.
