The Duke Community Service Center invites you to submit nominations for two annual volunteer service awards. The first is the Lars Lyon Volunteer Service Award. It recognizes a rising sophomore, junior or senior from Duke who has made a significant volunteer commitment to a Durham public school or non-profit agency. (Graduating seniors and students enrolled in the graduate and professional schools are not eligible.) The student named as recipient to the Lars Lyon Award will receive a partial scholarship of $10,500.
The second award is the Duke Employee Community Service Award. It recognizes a Duke employee who has performed truly outstanding volunteer service to the Durham community. The Duke-Durham Neighborhood Partnership will contribute $250 to the agency or school nominating the recipient of this award.
