Administrative Director of Community Affairs at Duke Raleigh Hospital

Camille Grant Valentine serves as the Administrative Director of Community Affairs at Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital, where she leads strategic initiatives to address community health needs and foster impactful partnerships. In this role, she develops and implements annual plans aligned with the hospital’s mission to improve health, advance knowledge, and inspire hope. Camille also supports the Duke Health Wake County Advisory Board. 
 
Camille represents Duke Health on the Wake County Community Health Needs Assessment Steering Committee and contributes to the hospital’s response to local health priorities.  Her leadership extends into the broader community through board service with Meals on Wheels of Wake County and The Alexander YMCA. Camille’s work is grounded in systems thinking, particularly in expanding initiatives related to food access and diabetes care.
 
Camille is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Bloomberg Fellow, with a focus on food systems. She is also an alumna of the Duke Health Integrated Practice Administrative Fellowship Program (2015–2017).
 
She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CLSSGB).
