Maria Ayscue

Maria bring more than 20 years of administrative experience supporting executives, physicians, and organizational leaders across higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors.  She currently serves on the Duke Community Affairs ORA team, where she contributes to operational coordination and administrative support. 

 

Maria has spent over 16 years of her career at Duke University and the Duke School of Medicine, holding a variety of administrative roles that strengthened her expertise in finance, executive support, and departmental operations.  Before returning to Duke in 2026, she served as a Senior Executive Assistant in the Risk and Legal Department at UNC Rex Healthcare. 

 

Known for her professionalism, reliability, and commitment to service, Maria has built strong reputation for navigating complex administrative environments and supporting mission-driven work. She is known for her steady presence, strong organizational skills, and deep commitment to service. 

 

Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management, HR Administration.
