Duke-UNICEF Club welcomes refugees to Durham.
The West End Community Foundation partnered with Duke's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to share the story of the Community Family Life and Recreation Center at Lyon Park - part of a historically Black Durham neighborhood.
Duke has a part in helping tell the stories of Geer Cemetery, which was established in 1877 by African Americans born enslaved.
Duke staff and faculty have helped bring positive change to the community by contributing to Doing Good, Duke’s annual employee giving campaign.
