Duke raises funds with the help of employees, corporate partners and the institution to contribute to meet requests from the community to further the well-being of all residents.

Current Opportunities

Duke Doing Good Health Fund Grants

This fund’s grant cycle is open Oct. 28 – Nov. 25, 2024. The Fund invites applications from Triangle non-profit organizations facilitating projects that help address food security and nutrition, as well as the environment and sustainability, and support healthy communities.

Housing & Neighborhoods Grants

This grant application is open until February 20, 2025. These Doing Good grants are intended to support the 14 neighborhoods included in the Duke-Durham Neighborhood Partnership (DDNP) by focusing on key needs and priorities determined in consensus among neighborhood stakeholders.

Community Fund Grants

Application window is open October 1-31, 2024. The Doing Good – Community Fund is an annual grant opportunity to support projects that help address significant community needs. Competitive grants are funded by Duke employee donations to Duke’s annual giving campaign.

Early Childhood & Education Grants

This grant application is open November 4 – December 6, 2024. The Doing Good – Early Childhood & Education grant is an annual opportunity for public schools and non-profit organizations offering educational and/or college and career readiness services to young people in Durham County.
