Aimee Stone Munsell

Communications Specialist

Aimee is a marketing leader who specializes in helping turn great ideas into sustainable legacies. She is passionate about ambitious solutions that improve the quality of life for all. Providing communications for the DCA is a dream assignment and the culmination of more than 15 years of corporate and non-profit experience.

Prior to joining Duke, Aimee served as a marketing executive at several tech companies including IBM, twice ran her own consulting firm, and worked at PR agencies on both coasts. She is passionate about using communications to create unique brand experiences that build community.

Aimee’s non-profit work has spanned board positions, pro bono projects and on the ground volunteering for local organizations such as PORCH Communities, Dress for Success and Designed for Joy. While living in New York City, she co-founded a citizenship program for young people and the Manhattan School for Children library.

Aimee is a proud Leadership Triangle Goodmon Fellow (2024). She earned her MBA at Columbia University and a BS in Communications at Cornell University. Aimee and her family moved from Harlem to North Carolina in 2020. She has a goal to hike in all 100 NC counties so recommendations are always welcome.
